Omar Kaba Sets Single-Game Scoring Record in Dominant Blake Victory
The Bears secured their 17th win of the season in emphatic fashion with a 97-43 victory over the Marshall School of Duluth on Friday night. The game was highlighted by Senior forward Omar Kaba’s incredible 49-point performance, setting a new Blake single-game scoring record.
Omar’s historic night surpassed the previous record of 47 points, held by Jack Moe (2016 vs. South St. Paul). His scoring explosion was also remarkably efficient, as he sank 24 of 31 shot attempts (77%).
This is not Omar’s first record-breaking feat this season—earlier this month, he became Blake’s all-time leader in career blocks, surpassing Kebu Johnson (‘13), who previously held the record with 116 blocks.
